 NOMINATIONS FOR COMMUNITY REPRESENTATIVE ON THE BROKEN HILL EDUCATION WORKING GROUP

Council resolved, at its Ordinary Meeting held 27 March 2024, to establish a Broken Hill Education Working Group. 

The Working Group will discuss matters pertaining to the Willyama High School’s temporary closure due to the school being re-built as a consequence of a severe mould outbreak; the interim temporary school arrangements for Willyama students; and the impact ono the well-being and education of High School students as well as the well-being and employment of Teachers in Broken Hill.

Council is calling for Broken Hill residents, with a connection to the school community (e.g. parent, grand-parent, relative or carer of a Broken Hill school student; a retired school teacher, etc) to nominate as Community Representatives to fill eight (8) vacant positions on the Working Group.

Online nominations have been extended and will now close at midnight (ACST) on Wednesday 24 April 2024.
