Australian citizenship symbolises our unity as a nation.  It represents a commitment to Australia and its people, the values we share, and our common future.

Citizenship ceremonies are conducted by Broken Hill City Council three times per year - Australia Day on 26 January, a date to be confirmed each April or May, and National Citizenship Day on 17 September.

Once your application for Australian Citizenship has been approved you will be invited to attend a Citizenship ceremony.  You must attend a ceremony within 12 months of your application approval.

Please contact Council to enquire about a Citizenship ceremony.
