The Almiraj Sufi Centre presents, Wide Desert Listening - Farhan Shah & Sufi Oz with Leroy Johnson and friends. Experience an extraordinary night of music, storytelling, and visual art that reimagines the rich cultural heritage of Broken Hill. Wide Desert Listening is an interdisciplinary arts project that brings together First Nations songs of Country with devotional Contemporary Sufi Qawwali Fusion music and light projections.
Wide Desert Listening is an immersive musical experience to share and illuminate the enduring contributions of the cameleers, the sacred texts they carried, and the powerful shared histories that continue to shape Broken Hill today.
