Local Government Week is designed to showcase the work councils do in their communities, including the wide variety of services they provide.

Local Government Week in 2025 will run from Monday 4 August to Sunday 10 August.

The week aims to help move the conversation beyond roads, rates and rubbish, to the important and far-reaching role councils play as the hubs of their community.

As a sector we are responsible for pools, parks and playgrounds, libraries, local festivals and lighting, cemeteries, community infrastructure and much more.

LG Week: Baby Bounce with special guest Mayor Kennedy
