Toddler time is aimed at children who have outgrown Baby Bounce, it is an interactive program that focuses on language, literacy development and play through reading, rhyme, finger plays and movement songs. Caregivers are invited to join in with the actions and songs with the child to encourage participation and bonding.
Singing and rhymes help develop early literacy skills which build the foundation for learning to read, the books chosen are intended to delight and engage the children in the joy of reading. The program includes collaborative nursery rhymes aiding in memory, motor and social skills.
Caregivers are invited to spend time conversing with their peers while children play together after the program, we recommend you finish your visit to the library by choosing and borrowing a book to read together at home with your free library membership.
Note: As a courtesy we ask for mobiles to remain silent during programs and to refrain from eating during all programs for allergy, safety and hygiene reasons; this will also ensure children are able to participate and concentrate during the program. This program is free and no bookings are required
