Preferred proof of identity contains your name, address and a photograph. e.g. drivers licence.

Bring your library card with you each time you visit the library, you'll need it when you want to print, use the computers and borrow.

Come into the library at 249 Blende Street.

Provide your proof of identity to a library staff member (Preferred proof of identity contains your name, address and a photograph. e.g. drivers licence).

 You will receive a membership form to complete and a code of conduct information sheet.

Receive your library card.

Bring this each time you visit the library, you'll need it when you want to print, use the computers and borrow!

Your library membership means you can borrow

  • Fifty books
  • Magazines
  • 15 CD's
  • 15 Audio books
  • 15 DVDs
  • eBooks from Borrowbox and Wheelers

 

The standard loan period is two weeks.

You can renew your items twice; online or in person.

When you join the library we'll ask if you would like SMS or email reminders for your due dates and reserved items.

 

Logging into your library account

Your online library account enables you to do a wide range of things, but first you need to login.

You need your member number and password.

What's my member number?

It's the seven digit number under the barcode on your card.

What's my password?

It's automatically set as your date of birth.

It's an eight digit format e.g. If you're birthday is on the 1st of August 1954 you need to enter 01081954

You can change it when you log in.

Your online account lets you do the following;

Renew items

If you need your books a little longer you can renew them twice if no one has reserved it; after that it's time to return them.

Reserve items

If someone else has the book you really want to read, reserve it and when they return it you will get notified.

You can submit a purchase suggestion consideration into the library collection.

If you're super busy and can't drop in and say hello, we've got an after hours returns chute available 24/7

Hold your item up against it until it beeps, open the door and insert your items.

We have visitor memberships with a few conditions.

Borrowing limit

There is a loan limit of two items at a time.

If you're a member of another NSW public library, we will join you as a visitor.

Then there's a small fee.

Comprising of $5 administration fee and $20 refundable deposit.
