Council is once again offering funding to help traders and organisations decorate their businesses for the Christmas season.

Traders and organisations in the CBD, Gypsum, McCulloch, and Patton shopping precincts can apply for up to $250 to assist with the cost of decorating their business for Christmas.

Reimbursement will be provided at a rate of 50% of the total amount spent by the applicant, up to a maximum reimbursement of $250.

For example, if the applicant supplies receipts for Christmas decorations at a value of $500, they will receive a rebate of $250.

$10,000 in funding is available and applications will be funded on a 'first-in' basis until the allocation is exhausted.

Applications open on 19 November and will be accepted until COB 17 December 2021, or until the allocation is exhausted, whichever occurs first. Council will post a notice on its website and Facebook account should the fund be exhausted before 17 December.

To receive a reimbursement, applicant must be situated in either the McCulloch, Patton, Or Gypsum Street business precinct, or in the CBD of Broken Hill (bordered by Crystal and Blende Streets between Iodide and Kaolin Streets).

Christmas Decoration Rebate Application forms are available here or at the front counter of Council’s Administrative Centre.

One application can be submitted per trader or organisation. Receipts detailing the expenditure on Christmas decorations must be attached.
