An Epic Musical Journey Under Australia's Infinite Sky

Witness an extraordinary collaboration as Sydney Youth Orchestra's acclaimed Big Sky Orchestra travels to Broken Hill for a spectacular night of music that celebrates Australian artistry, community spirit, and cultural heritage. Under the masterful direction of renowned conductor Benjamin Northey, this remarkable event unites metropolitan excellence with regional authenticity.

STELLAR LINEUP: SYO Big Sky Orchestra, Sydney's premier youth ensemble, joins forces with Broken Hill Civic Orchestra, Broken Hill Philharmonic Choir, Broken Hill Community Choir, and the inspiring young voices of Willcannia Central School Choir. Featured artists include Alyce Pogson, Leroy Johnson, and Aimee Volkofsky.

INCREDIBLE REPERTOIRE: Experience Mussorgsky/Ravel's Pictures at an Exhibition, the ultimate orchestral showcase that transforms the concert hall into a gallery of sound. David Wells' Emu in the Sky draws inspiration from Aboriginal astronomy, while a world premiere choral commission honours Royal Far West's centenary. Local singersongwriters' works celebrate regional musical heritage.

This isn't just a concert but a cultural celebration bringing together over 150 performers in an unprecedented collaboration. The intimate Broken Hill Civic Centre provides the perfect setting for this unique convergence of talent, creating an atmosphere where world-class artistry meets authentic community connection.
