COUNCIL MEETINGS

Ordinary and Extraordinary Council Meetings are conducted in accordance with Council's adopted Code of Meeting Practice Policy.

Ordinary Council Meetings are held at 6:30pm on the last Wednesday of every month, unless changed by a resolution of Council.

Typically, Council resolves to hold their December meeting earlier in the month due to the last Wednesday of December falling within Council's Christmas Shutdown period.

Extraordinary Council Meetings may be held at other times throughout the year to consider urgent matters that must be dealt with prior to the next scheduled Ordinary Council Meeting.  These meetings are advertised in the Barrier Daily Truth (if time permits) and on Council's website under the "Public Notice and Documents on Display" section.

Minutes from Council meetings are made publicly available as soon as possible after they have been confirmed at the following monthly meeting.

Council Business Papers are made publicly available and are uploaded to Council's website on the Monday prior to the Ordinary Monthly Council Meeting and can also be viewed at the City Library or at Council's Administrative Centre.

You can watch Council meetings live, or catch-up on the replays on Council's YouTube channel.
