Volunteer Expo returns
Published on 13 May 2026
The city's Volunteer Expo returns this weekend, giving locals a chance to see the range of services on offer.
The Expo will be held at the Civic Centre from 10am-1pm on May 16, and will bring together service providers, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations that deliver essential programs and services through volunteers.
The event aims to showcase the many ways people can get involved in volunteering, while also helping organisations recruit new volunteers and raise awareness of their work.
Those looking to give back to the community via a volunteer role will have the chance to meet face-to-face with organisations, learn about available roles, and find opportunities that match their interests, skills, and availability.
Hot food and drink will be available including Chalky's Coffee, a BBQ by Rotary, cakes by Carol McGavisk, and hot donuts by the 3rd Broken Hill Sea Scouts.
