Putt-Putt back for school holidays
Published on 15 December 2025
Putt-putt will be finally be returning to the city this school holidays with a temporary mini-golf course being hosted by Council.
The 18-hole course will be installed in the Adkins Pavilion at the Memorial Oval as part of Council's School Holiday Program, and will be open 2pm-8pm between January 19-22, and 10am-2pm on January 23.
The putt-putt course will be complemented with ping pong tables and a 'chill zone' featuring cushions, cards, and board games for those looking to relax.
The free event will be open to those between the ages of 12-24, and food and refreshments will be available on site.
Council's Community Development Coordinator, Rachel Merton, said she hoped the event would provide something different this school holidays.
"We wanted to try something a bit innovative this year, so we thought we'd give this a go and see if it proves popular," said Ms Merton.
"Mini-golf and ping-pong are low-impact fun and social activities, and anyone who doesn't feel like competing can just relax and have a chat and play a game instead."
