$71,000 available for community groups

If your community project needs funding or you want to help other groups receive financial assistance, then now is the time to get involved with Council's Community Access Grants (CAG) program.
Council is currently seeking two independent volunteers to join the CAG panel and work with Councillors and the General Manager to assess and award funding applications.
There is also $71,000 currently up for grabs in the current round of CAG funding, and only three applications have been received to date.
Mayor Darriea Turley AM said now is the perfect time for interested individuals and community groups to take part in the program.
"There's $71,000 on the table and only three groups have applied at this stage, so if you have a project that needs funding be sure to get an application in," she said.
"And I'd strongly encourage anyone with a passion for our community to apply for a place on the CAG panel.
"It's extremely rewarding to be part of the funding process and help distribute funds to community groups for the betterment of Broken Hill."
Applications for funding and CAG panel nominations close on October 31, 2019.
Full details regarding the application process and acquittal process can be found here.
Funding applicants must be an incorporated association/organisation, or a registered not-for-profit association/charitable organisation with an ABN or ACN.
Funding applications will not be accepted from individuals, businesses, government funded agencies, political parties or lobby groups.
