Quota International, Inc. is an international service organisation that provides basic needs to women, children, the deaf,  and hard of hearing in communities around the world.

Quota International's world service projects are aligned with the United Nation's Goals. Specifically, Quota Clubs are working towards the following: to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, and to promote gender equality and empower women, respectively. The organisation was founded in Buffalo, NY. in 1919 by Wanda Frey Joiner, as a service club for women similar to that of popular all-male clubs.
Today, membership includes both women and men in communities around the world. Current membership exceeds 5,600, representing more than 270 clubs in 14 countries.
The Broken Hill Quota Club (BHQC) is part of Region 14, in NSW, Australia.
The Membership of the BHQC is approx 30 ladies.
In most years our Club raises funds of approx $12,000, of which it is (mostly) distributed locally.
Our main fundraisers are the annual 10 cent Auction and the Cake and Pasty Stall.
Without the continued support of many local individuals and businesses, and the public,  our goal of helping out those who need it, would be so much harder.  We are grateful for the support we have in Broken Hill.
