Sharing the National Collection

28 Apr 2026 The Broken Hill City Art Gallery is truly honoured to share works from the National Gallery of Australia as part of the Sharing the National Collection initiative. Home to the most valuable collection of art in Australia, the national collection comprises over 155,000 works of art, including the world’s largest collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art.

Footsteps in the Desert- Ann Evers

08 May 2026 Based on a lifetime of walking and observing the desert landscape she calls home, Ann Evers’ works reflect on traces of the past, environmental change and the stories held within the land. Using local plants, found objects and diverse techniques, the exhibition invites audiences to look closely at the fragile patterns of Country and the pathways shaped by human presence.
