The Importance of Being Earnest

Next date: Saturday, 25 July 2026 | 07:30 PM to 09:30 PM

Broken Hill Repertory Society Presents

'The Importance of Being Earnest' by Oscar Wilde

A little bit satire, a little bit drama, very much a comedy, 'Earnest' is a classic play about shallow people taking the trivial things seriously and the serious things trivially.

John Worthing is trying to win the hand of the woman he loves, appease her overbearing mother, keep his best friend away from his impressionable young ward, and stop his various lies and lives from falling down around his ears.

Needless to say, things don't go quite the way he'd planned!

Suitable for all ages.
