The AGL Perfect Light Film Festival

The AGL Perfect Light Film Festival is Broken Hill's iconic film festival, running from Friday 22  March to Sunday 24 March.

The entire Festival program is FREE to attend

The Festival kicks off with a launch at Silver City Cinema on the Friday night at 7pm featuring a special screening of an Australian movie (Wog Boys Forever) followed by drinks, nibbles and a Q&A 

Then on the Saturday March 23 the short film festival will run outside at Sturt Park.  Bring a picnic blanket and grab your mates or family and enjoy up to 15 short films all judged live on the night by a panel of celebrity judges (Charlotte Chimes, Jess Byrne, Frank Lotito), awarding monetary prizes.   A special twilight market will also be held at the short film festival.  Event starts at 6pm with entertainment and markets, films screening from 7pm.  

The Sunday features a free filmmaking workshop held at the Broken Hill Civic Centre.  This is a perfect opportunity for established and aspiring filmmakers to learn more about the industry from established professionals in the field.  Participants will be encouraged to make a short film sharing a mental health message for the next Festival.  Please register your interest with Meg at megan@filmfestivalsaustralia.com.au
