About Kiarah

Kiarah Cain is a 21-year-old artist working primarily in digital media, with a strong influence from tattoo culture and a love of exploring different creative mediums. She has been creating art for as long as she can remember, always finding a creative outlet from a young age.

Growing up painting, particularly with acrylics, Kiarah has more recently fallen in love with digital art. Her practice continues to evolve as she explores different styles, techniques and ways of bringing her ideas to life.

The Project

For Kiarah, Beyond the Dust is the idea that, beyond all else, that we are a community and we pride ourselves on that. Her mural uses florals as a symbol of individuality, growth and connection. Each flower is different, with its own character and needs, yet all flowers share the same beginnings.

Kiarah sees this as a reflection of people: we all grow and change in different ways but are connected by the same place and community.

“Our community is like a garden bed, everyone might need different things to flourish but we all lean on each other if the other is wilting. Help another see the sun again”

Connection to Place & Community

Kiarah values the Far West for its strong artistic community and the opportunities it provides to experience and explore different styles of art.

As this is Kiarah’s first large-scale project, being selected is an exciting opportunity to see her work become part of the public landscape.
