A women's candidate forum will be held at the Broken Hill Civic Centre for those interested in running as a candidate at the upcoming Local Government elections.

Run by the NSW Australian Local Government Women's Association, Vice President City and Mayor of Penrith City Council, Councillor Karen McKeown OAM, the session will provide women with valuable insight into what is involved in running as a candidate, and the roles and responsibilities of a Councillor.

The event will include a welcome and introduction followed by a presentation from ALGWA NSW.

Attendees will then be able to participate in a Q&A session with local councillors.

If you want to help increase the number of women in Local Government, make sure you don't miss this forum!
