Broken Hill is getting behind the Clean Up Australia promotion with clean up events arranged around the City.
Clean Up Australia Day events will be held on March 3 and will target the Adelaide Road and Cemetery fence line in the morning, followed by another event in the afternoon on the same day targeting Creedon Street.
Tidy Towns Committee Chair, Councillor Christine Adams, said it was great to see strong community support for the initiative.
"It's great that groups are getting in and holding a few events and giving people more options to participate," she said.
"Council staff will lend a hand at both events, and we hope to see lots of volunteers come along and join in over the next couple of weeks.
“We are also most appreciative of the Sea Scouts who will also be participating on Sunday."
Gloves and bags will be supplied at both upcoming events, and the morning event on Adelaide Road will include a free sausage sizzle for participants.
