Membership is available freely to all local residents.
Come to the Library and fill out an application form, provide evidence of your address and you will be issued a card immediately, alternatively apply through the online catalogue.
Children under 18 years of age and living at home must have their application signed by parent or guardian.
Please notify the library immediately of any change to your address.
Loan Entitlements
You must bring your card for items to be issued against it.
You may borrow:
- Unlimited Books
- Unlimited Magazines
- 15 CD's
- 15 Audio items
- 15 DVDs
- 4 eBooks
Reference, archives and newspapers cannot be borrowed.
Please return items by the due date.
Lost Cards
If you lose your card or it is stolen please notify us immediately so that we can stop further loans being issued on it.
Visitors
Visitors who are in the City for more than six weeks and anyone who visits or works in the area on a very regular basis may join as a resident borrower.
Visitors who can produce a current library card from another NSW public library may borrow two items. Visitors who are not NSW public library card holders may pay a $20.00 refundable deposit and borrow 2 items at a time whilst they are in the City.

Inter-Library Loans
If the library does not have the book or information you require, it will try to obtain it from another library. Most inter-library loans take about two weeks. A charge is made for photocopying if required. You will be notified if a charge applies from the lending library.
