What is an Advocacy Strategy, and why did Council develop one?
With State and Federal elections looming, the Advocacy Strategy is a way for Council to showcase the city's strategic direction to both Government and opposition officials. The Strategy outlines various facets of Broken Hill including the city's industry, strengths and challenges, opportunities for growth, and potential strategic projects we would like to pursue, such as the proposed upgrade of the airport and the new library and cultural precinct.
How will it be used?
The Strategy provides a solid blueprint from which we can advocate to seek grant funding or other investment opportunities to fund major projects and drive Broken Hill forward.
Is the Strategy available to everyone?
Yes. The strategy can be used by any and all community groups or residents - whether they're looking to seek funding, or just promote Broken Hill and its capacity for growth into the future.
Where can I read the Strategy?
The Strategy can be found here.
