This Australia Day, we want to show the world how we celebrate our nation’s favourite day. ‘Australia Day - Everyone, every story’ captures these celebrations and connects Australians across the globe to build excitement in the lead up to, and on, Australia Day.
While Australia Day means different things to different people, it is a day that welcomes everyone to reflect on their Australian experience – their past, present and future. ‘Australia Day - Everyone, every story’ showcases these personal snapshots to celebrate all the stories that make our country great.

2018 Australia Day Ceremony
This year's Australia Day ceremony will be held at the Civic Centre Plaza, Cnr Chloride and Beryl Streets.
Our Australia Day Ambassador, Khushaal Vyas will be at the Ceremony that starts at 7am with a gold coin donation BBQ breakfast. Welcome to Country and Flag Raising Ceremony will follow at 8am before the presentation of Australia Day awards from 8:15am. A morning tea at 10am will conclude the event.
There will be plenty to do around the City, with free entry to the Living Desert & Sculptures, Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery and the Albert Kersten Mining & Mining Museum.
There is also free entry to the Regional Aquatic Centre, with the YMCA holding free Aqua Aerobics at 10.30am and then activities including the slide, giant and mini inflatables and jumping castle from 12.30pm – 5pm. There will also be a BBQ at 1pm.
The Kintore Reserve Picnic Train will be running from 10:am to 1:00pm with rides by gold coin donation.
