Staff member holding picture book called Rodney loses it

Storytime is designed for pre-school aged children to develop skills for school readiness.

Children focus on literacy and language development through shared reading, finger plays and movement songs. Caregivers are invited to join in with the actions and songs.

The program includes activities focused on language, counting and play, concluding with a craft session that enables children to practice skills such as supervised cutting, and colouring, designed to aid in developing critical thinking, creativity and motor skills.

We recommend you finish your visit to the library by choosing and borrowing a book to read together at home with your free library membership.

As a courtesy we ask for mobile phones to remain silent during programs and to refrain from eating during all programs for allergy, safety, and hygiene reasons; this will also ensure children are able to participate and concentrate during the program.

This free program is held during school terms and no bookings are required.
