Visitor information services during COVID-19

All of Council's facilities are currently in the process of gradually reopening after being interrupted due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Please note that Council is taking a cautious approach to all facility reopenings in order to meet Government guidelines, and ensure the safety of the community and staff.

Any changes to operating hours or service levels will be updated on this page.

Monday - Friday: 9am - 4pm

Saturday - Sunday: Closed

Changes to Services

Our services won't look the same as normal and may be limited, but the health and safety of our staff and visitors are our top priority, as such compliance with NSW Health requirements and guidelines are central to the conditions and services during this time. 

Changes to entering the Visitor Information Centre

Please stay home if you are sick.
Hand sanitiser must be used when entering.
It is a condition of entry to provide your name and contact details to staff for contact tracing purposes.
Physical distancing of 1.5m is in place with guides installed to assist.
In addition, NSW Health Guidelines of 4m2 per person limits the number of visitors to the Visitor Information Centre to 25 people at a time.
Due to these conditions the time you are able to spend in the Visitor Information Centre may be limited.

Brochures are kept behind the counter. Please ask staff if you are requiring particular brochures to assist with your time in Broken Hill and your onward journey.
