Support for bus service

Council will write to relevant State ministers and representatives to advocate for the Broken Hill to Mildura bus service to be made permanent.

Election set

Local elections will be held in September 2021. Locals will be able to vote in person or by mail.

 

Return to chambers

Council will revert to holding meetings in the Council Chambers rather than via Zoom from February 2021.

 

Government conference

Councillors wishing to attend Australian Local Government Women's Association Conference in Shellharbour on March 18, 2021, have been asked to complete travel forms by the end of Jauary.

 

General Assembly considered

Council will consider motions to table at the National General Assembly of Local Government in June 2021.

Expansion approved

Councillors approved the expansion of a lot in the industrial area for use by Nextgen Networks. Rent is set at $2500 per annum.

Council approved 12-month tenders for Conex Group and Gettin There Pty Ltd to undertake maintenance and upgrades of kerbs, footpaths and ramps.

 

Upgrade for Iodide Street

Gettin There Pty Ltd was awarded a $641,000 tender for the reconstruction of Iodide Street from Morgan to Union Streets including kerb and gutter and drainage structures.
