Mental Health First Aid Course

Mental Health First Aid is a nationally recognised accreditation and is becoming more and more helpful, and sought after in work places and communities alike.

What is Mental Health First Aid? Mental health first aid equips you with the knowledge and resources to identify, respond and assist individuals developing or experiencing a mental illness or crisis. It covers signs and symptoms of many common and often disabling mental health problems, how to provide initial help, how and where to get professional help and how to provide first aid in a crisis situation.

This is a 12 hour course run over two days, and does touch on subjects that may be triggering for some, including; depression and anxiety, substance use problems, psychosis, panic attacks, suicidal thoughts and behaviours, non-suicidal self injury, severe psychotic states and traumatic events among others.

It is $220 for the full course, you will receive your own Mental Health First Aid Handbook and a nationally recognised accreditation of qualified Mental Health First Aider.
