Draft Management Plan 2008/2013 Released

Council has released its draft 5 year Management Plan 2008/2013, Financial Plan 2008/2013 and 15 year Community Strategic Plan for community comment.

The plan seeks to ensure the city's community developement needs, as was as community infrastructure assests are maintained to meet identified needs - for use now and into the future.

Amongst other matters, the document includes details of the activities proposed to be carried out during the forthcoming year, the overall draft budget and statement of revenue policy including proposed rating structure.

Council will hold a community information session on Tuesday May 27, 2008 between 4pm and 5pm, in the Council Chambers, Blende Street. The General Manager will give an overview of the Draft Management Plan, the Strategic Plan and Financial Plan, answering any questions from the public.

Any person of organisation wishing to make comment on the draft document is invited to do so in writing to the General Manager, PO Box 448, Broken Hill  NSW  2880 or email council@brokenhill.nsw.gov.au.

Submissions must be received at Council's Administrative Centre on later than 5.00pm on Friday June 20, 2008.
