Tree Removal and Replanting Program

Last modified: June 5, 2008 - 11:37 AM

Council is developing a long term strategy to increase the number of trees throughout the city and, as a part of that program, trees assessed as high risk will be removed and replaced with the more suitable varieties ranging from two to six metres in height.

The first stage of the program will include;

  • Bonanza Street between Boughtman and Jamieson Street on both sides of the street.
  • Bonanza Street between Wilson and Jamieson Street on the power line side of the street.
  • Cobalt Street between Oxide and Iodide Street on both sides of the street.
  • Wills Street between Graphite and Gypsum Street on the power line side of the street, and Graphite to Bisumith Street on the non power line side of the street.
  • Mica Street between Oxide and Iodide Street on both sides of the Street.
  • Airport Road (trees directly beneath power lines).

For further information, please contact Council's Infrastructure Department on (08) 8080 3300.
