PRESS RELEASE

Broken Hill Record Growth Forecast Remains on Track

Broken Hill, 5th March, 2008:

While the Australian stock market begins to recover from the effects of the US sub-prime mortgage market collapse, Broken Hill, a city of over 20,000 people in Far West NSW, continues to boom. Broken Hill is located on the edge of a desert which is proving rich in gold, uranium, mineral sands and copper,  and the city itself is built on the richest deposit of silver, lead and zinc in the world.  The initial Far West NSW Growth and Investment Strategy released in July 2007 indicated a regional growth in employment and investment of 10% over the next 5 years, this figure has now grown to 11.8% in a Development Update (February, 2008) released today.
