Planning and Development
The Broken Hill City Council has statutory obligations to meet in regards to building and development in the city. Building controls are necessary to ensure construction and safety standards are achieved.
The key focus is the assessment and determination of Development Applications, Construction Certificates, Building Certificates and Principal Certifying Authority for Building and Subdivision works. This section also undertakes compliance inspection for fire safety and places of public entertainment as well as offering a customer advisory service.
