Council can provide small, one-off donations for specific requests that arise during the year and are outside the guidelines of other grant programs.
This may include assistance to community organisations through the provision of Council labour or equipment.
The donation can comprise of a cash donation up to $500.00 subject to the availability of Council funds.
In-kind donations (Labour or equipment costs) can be valued up to $3,000.00. Where there is a cost to Council in providing the assistance, such as payment of overtime, a cash donation will be made to the requesting organisation equivalent to the cost of the support and the organisation will then be invoiced for the services provided.
Applications must be made by submitting an application on the prescribed form. As part of the process, applicants must outline the benefit of the project to the Broken Hill community.
Donations (cash and in-kind) are determined by Council at the Monthly Meetings of Council
