Bin Rules: Bins are to be placed on the kerb, handles facing the house. The lid should be closed to prevent spillage during emptying. Cost: This is a free service provided by Council. Contamination of waste is often caused by plastic and renders it useless for Regional Vermiculture Australia to process www.rva.net.au/ Tips for an odour free bin: To ensure the contents do not stick to the bottom of the bin, line with newspaper. To prevent odours, place equal quantities of plant matter such as prunings and grass clippings to food scraps and kitchen waste. Shredded paper also helps to create a balance in the bin and prevent odours.
