Bin Rules: Bins are to be placed on the kerb, handles facing the house.

The lid should be closed to prevent spillage during emptying.

Cost: This is a free service provided by Council.

Contamination of waste is often caused by plastic and renders it useless for Regional Vermiculture Australia to process www.rva.net.au/

Tips for an odour free bin:

  • To ensure the contents do not stick to the bottom of the bin, line with newspaper.

  • To prevent odours, place equal quantities of plant matter such as prunings and grass clippings to food scraps and kitchen waste.

  • Shredded paper also helps to create a balance in the bin and prevent odours.
