FACILITIES MANAGER - TS110
(Salary $75,915 + superannuation)
THE POSITION
This challenging position is for an experienced manager who will report directly to the Group Manager Infrastructure. The Facilities Manager responsibilities will include management of Broken Hill's Cemetery, Regional Aquatic Centre and Airport and Council's fleet and property support operations. The Facilities Manager will be expected to improve the performance of council owned facilities and meet community expectations within allocated personnel and financial resources.
THE PERSON
The successful applicant will have at least five years recent and relevant industry experience in a senior role with a customer service focus and a technical or trades background. Experience should include facilities management, team leadership and change management as well as excellent communication and computer skills, management of staff, a strong business acumen at both strategic and operational levels and an ability to apply risk management and EEO principles in decision making processes. Tertiary qualifications, experience in local government or the service industry and a working knowledge of asset management systems would be an advantage.
