Financial Assistance and Community Development Grants

Community Development Support Expenditure (CDSE) Representation - Published: 25 Jul 2008

The CDSE is a state-wide initiative of ClubsNSW through which local clubs allocate significant support to projects and services that contribute to the well being of their communities.  Local Clubs involved in the Scheme are the Barrier Social Democratic Club, Broken Hill Legion Club, Broken Hill Musicians Club and the Broken Hill Sturt Club. The Committee comprises representatives of the participating clubs, Broken Hill City Council, Department of Community Services (DoCS) and National Council of Social Services (NCOSS). more ..

Community Development Grant Applications - Published: 04 Jun 2008
Community Development Grants are designed for non-profit community organisations based in Broken Hill to initiate and complete a specific project or purchase. Grants for between $500 - $3000 can be approved if there is no alternative source of funding. Applications for a Community Development Grant close in on 31 March and 30 September each year. more ..

Event Sponsorship Application - Published: 28 Feb 2008
Council is regularly approached to sponsor events within the city and region. Sponsorship is an important part of meeting Councils' obligations to support and encourage initatives which encourage economic development and tourism to the city and region. more ..
